FORECAST CALLS FOR SUNNY SKIES!

The sky is blue and the sun is shining bright. The best way to celebrate a beautiful day like this is with a warm glowing look. This look is created by a dusting of terra cotta bronzing powder (Guerlain), this is applied generously to the face and body. Kick it up a notch, by using a touch of intense tangerine toned blush on the upper eyelid and the apples of the cheek (YSL). You can really take this look to the next level by applying several coats of rich black mascara to the lashes (Maybelline). Its never quite complete with out a lush shimmer on the lips. This of course can be achieved with a generous application of golden-coral lip gloss (Chanel). Bring this look to perfection, by wearing this beautifully colored, summer gown (De et Dr). Take a stroll through a field of sunflowers, and pick one for yourself. Its summertime, and the living is easy...

GLOW TO GO!

When the heat is on, so is the glow. Here is an image of Max doing makeup on a beautiful mocha skinned model. One of the best looks to create in the summer season, is this high impact luminous look. The emphasis is on the upper cheek bone area and swooping around the eye. The eyes are enhanced with a lush application of deep black liner and mascara. This draws most of the attention to the eyes themselves, and that is where all the mystery is. This is complimented with a natural smooth finish to the skin and a delicious, yet subtle accent on the lips. Once this look is complete, just throw on a hip warm toned outfit and you've got your glow to go!

HOT! HOT! HOT!

Its getting hot in here! The summer season is right around the corner, and you know the saying "less is more". Well let's just say "they got that right". These lovely ladies are struttin' their stuff in these delicious citrus toned bikinis and light cover ups. The best way to compliment this wave of warmth is a simple shimmer to the skin (all over). This is achieved by a gentle dusting of mineral shimmer by Givenchy Beaute. The cheeks always come to life with a pop of coral toned blush on a tanned skin (self tanner by Clarins) the blush is Coral Reef by Marco Beaute. And last, but certainly not least Juicy Orange lip shine by Marco Beaute. All we can say is FEEL THE HEAT BABY!!!

SAIL AWAY WITH ME!

The time is right to sail away to a romantic island. What better way to go, than in nautical style. This look is fresh, pure, and ready for action. This model's makeup was kept simple, yet sun kissed. The overall look was achieved by giving the entire face (and body) a warm bronzed glow. The eyes and checks were brought to life with a soft touch of an apricot shadow and blush. To define the eyes, there is a light application of dark brown mascara. Finally the lips pull the whole look together with a warm toned lip stain. All the makeup was provided by the Yves Saint Laurent beauty collection.

SMOKIN' SMOLDERING AND SEDUCTIVE

Those sexy smokey eyes are center stage for fall 2010. Just when you thought things might get dull. Wham! Those gorgeous eyes are back on the scene. This look is great in a variety of different tones, for example warm chocolates, deep plums, midnight blues, and deep forest greens, are just a few of the tones you can play with to create this seductive look. The process for achieving this look is as follows: Start with a soft base color (i.e. beige, soft cream, etc.) all over the lid, from lash line to the brow. Next use a medium tone shade (i.e. nutmeg, taupe, etc.) in the crease of the eye in a windshield wiper motion to define the eye. Next go to the liner (preferably black) apply this generously along the bottom lash line and then across the top lash line. Next use a small rounded tip brush to blend the eye liner. Follow with the darkest shade (i.e. black, dark blue, dark violet, etc.) and place it towards the outer top corner of the eye (use caution when doing this, as to not allow the shadow to fall. Then blend the deep shade across the lower portion of the top lid, and then with what is left on the brush carry it across the bottom lash line. A key point here is to be careful not to use too much shadow at the start, and always blend, blend, blend. Have fun getting your satisfaction! SPRING IS IN THE AIR!

Spring is in the air! The flowers are blooming, the sun is shining bright, and there's a buzz about all that is new this season. This beautiful image was inspired by a stroll in a lush garden and, the lovely golden-orange tulips. The eye makeup in this look was created by a generous sweep of marigold tones, and cobalt blue as the perfect accent. The luscious lip look was created by using a rich coral toned lipstick. All of this set against a flawless ivory complexion, brings this fresh look of spring to life. When spring arrives it presents the perfect opportunity to set yourself free and live life in vivid color. Viva la printemp! All makeup was provide by the Givenchy beauty collection.

MODERN MASTERPIECE!

This is a makeup image that I created with the legendary Marco Glaviano at the Pier 59 Studios in NYC. It was such a great collaboration to work with both Marco and Anneliese Seubert the delightful model on this cover. The look and colors I used were inspired by a throwback to the '80's high impact glamour. This and the incredible photographic and graphic cubism brilliance of Marco, resulted in one of the most memorable covers of American Photo magazine. Not only did this image find it's way on the cover of such a prestigious magazine, it was also featured in mega size at an art gallery showing in SoHo, NYC. The opening gala was packed with industry notables and celebrities like the always fabulous Ivana Trump. YOU GIVE ME FEVER!

Sizzling hot styles were all the rage on the runway this season. My temperature was rising and the models were definitely giving fever! The colors were intense and vibrant. These looks will make anyone feel like a hot beach babe. The models were also sporting a beautiful golden glow to the skin, with just the right touch of shimmer. The hair was voluminous and carefree. The eyes were emphasized with a rich black mascara, the cheeks were warmed with a touch of peach blush, and the lips shimmered with a coral toned gloss. Somebody please hand me a my fan, its getting hot in here! Oh wait there's more....

Mastering Makeup with M.A.R.CO

Professional Makeup Artistry Educational Program

This program covers the core areas of professional makeup artistry, and is offered in various levels. Each session will be three hours long.

• Level I Basic Professional: This level focuses on the training of those who have little or no "real" makeup artistry experience. It will cover the basics of makeup artistry, taking the participants through: skin analysis, color theory, facial shapes, and features, complete steps of makeup application, product and tool knowledge, and much more. The majority of time will be spent in hands-on workshops. 8 sessions-$960
• Level II Professional: This level focuses on the training of those who have some concrete level of experience, and those who have completed Basic Professional. It will review all of the topics covered in Basic Professional, and will then go further. This level will include: creating the perfect "canvas", insider's tips on the best tools of the trade, the principles of ciascuro (light and dark), advanced color theory, creating a broad range of "looks", trouble shooting "on the job", and much more. The majority of time will be spent in hands-on workshops. 12 sessions-$1440
• Level III Advanced Professional: This level focuses on the training of those who have spent time in the professional makeup artistry arena, and wish to advance their knowledge and technique. There will be primary emphasis on perfecting application technique, attempting "looks" that have not been tried, getting the latest in industry insight, advanced application (i.e. airbrushing), working towards building the professional makeup artist portfolio ("the book"), and much more. The majority of time will be spent in hands-on workshops. $300 each session (3 hours each)
• Level IV Master Professional: These are topics of training that focus on specific areas of industry requests. These will include: creating "iconic" looks from past decades, fine tuning technique (i.e. perfecting application of false lashes, etc.), creating the beautiful bridal looks, creating beautiful gala and elegant affair looks, building your professional portfolio, marketing yourself in the industry, preparing for your first professional photo shoot, and much more. The majority of time will be spent in both hands-on workshops, as well as presentational format. $300 each session (3 hours each)

BEAUTY BACKSTAGE

The wheels were spinning as Team Maximo (a M.A.R.CO professional team of hair and makeup artists) was busy getting the models ready for the latest shows at fashion week in Miami. The look for this show was golden glam. This was created by giving each model a light dusting of golden shimmer all over the body and at key points on the face. This was complimented by copper and tangerine shadows on the eyes. Then the look was finished off with a beautiful array of coral toned glosses on the lips. The hair was done in sexy beach side styles. Some models had their hair pulled back in a neat ponytail, while others were loose and flowing. The overall look was a warm and sensual escape of tropical ecstasy!

HERE COMES THE SUN!

Sun is shining and all is well with the world at the latest Mercedes Benz Fashion week in South Beach, Florida. The look of the season is sun kissed and sensual. The models were in full bloom and their skin is glowing with bronzed beauty. The shimmer of coral gloss on their lips and a flower in the hair. Sunny yellows, and firecracker reds are bursting out all over. As I sit here sipping on my cool refreshing mojito, I know its my only respite from going up in flames. The heat is surging from the latest looks on the runway. Someone please splash me with some water from the pool. Dare I take another look at the luscious looks these ladies are sporting this season. Oh, I just can't help myself. Momma always told me "keep you fingers away from the flame". Awe shucks Momma...please!

Ravishing Beauty at MB Fashion Week

Just steps from Ocean Drive and the rhythm of the latin beat, the show begins. The most beautiful models, fashionistas, and stylish people fill the tents at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Miami. Hearts are pounding with anticipation, waiting to see what's to come as the lights go up. Sultry, sexy, delightful ladies (and men) strut down the runway in the most spectacular attire of the season. The colors are bold and sensual, with an electric charge in the air. From playful pastels, to romantic reds, there was much beauty to behold. These styles can really raise your pulse. The intensity of color, the flowing breeze of delicate fabrics, the form fitting fabulousness...it's enough to send you in to a frenzy! Oh what a wonderful way to start the season. Just thinking of all the opportunities to show off in your latest garb. Won't those girls be green with envy..ha, ha,ha! Oh well, back to the show. I can't get enough of this!
